First story :
Kaddour Lkhenz filed a complaint asking to change his name because his friends constantly mocked him.
The officials understood his problem and accepted his request: they changed his name from Kaddour Lkhenz to Samir Lkhenz.
We thought the issue was in the second part of the name, but the officials insisted that, legally, the problem was in the first part. As for the moral aspect, they said: “That’s not our concern.”
Second story :
Benziane Abdelhaq had no issue with his name, but he had a problem with Fadiza, which dug trenches on his land to dump wastewater. Abdelhaq told his story to a French TV channel.
When the episode aired, Benziane was thrilled to see himself on television, and even more thrilled because he believed his problem would finally be solved.
But the officials saw his action as a form of seeking support from abroad, turning him from victim to offender.
They said the channel should not have aired the episode during the inauguration of Fadiza, but should have waited for another occasion, like Mawlid or Eid Sghir.
Strangely, many journalists and locals agreed that the channel should not have shown the cracks in Fadiza’s houses during its inauguration.
Third story :
This time, the issue is not cracks in a house, but cracks in the skull of Professor Boubker.
Boubker, born in Ahfir and lawyer of the municipality, had his skull fractured after receiving severe blows.
His friend, MP Aftati, feared for his life and sent a letter to the French embassy asking them to take him to a hospital in France.
A state of emergency erupted:
– at the French embassy,
– at the Élysée,
– at the Ministry of Interior,
– in Parliament,
– and even on Al Jazeera.
In all these urgent meetings, which brought back officials who had already left the country, no one mentioned Boubker’s skull, not even once.
They only discussed the accusation of seeking help from abroad.
Didn’t the Minister of Tourism ask for foreign help by sending Fadiza to save Saïdia?
Didn’t Housni Benslimane ask for foreign help by sending Lemerre to save the national team?
Yes, Aftati “shook the planet” with his action.
Yes, they arrested him, insulted him, exiled him…
But only after fixing the cracks in Boubker’s skull, in Fadiza’s houses, and in Abdelhaq’s land.
